Night FlightCars raced by on a brisk night. Their bright lights sped towards me, then disappeard in an instant. I scuffled down the sidewalk, hands thrust deep into my pockets to protect them from the nipping wind.   
I couldn't believe I was really doing it. I had saved up my money for so long, and now I was about to leave my past behind me. It was all going to be okay.   
"It's a long walk," I mumbled as I reached the street corner. I turned a little bit, just to see how far I'd come. Then, taking a deep breath, I chugged along.

Suddenly, the sunlight fades  Left in only darkness and shadows  The young ones cower  Softly crying   
One by one they are ripped  From their homes and their lives  Gathered up in a bouquet of wounded  Softly dying   
Mercilessly, they are thrown  Down into escapeless prison  The lid is closed on their ex Yard Work

hey there, ho there ^_^
i'm back after a really obnoxiously long absence, and so hurray!!
i'm posting a bunch of stuff. most of it is obnoxiously old, so if you could please help me to make it much much better, that would be fantastic!
thank you all, and thank you for reading my stuff. it makes me unbelievably happy that anyone even reads it at all ^_^
